Overcoming Social Anxiety and Public Speaking
An Interactive Work Shop Presented by Corinne E. Frontiero
For Motown Writers Network
On Saturday, September 12th, 2009, my bff a/k/a "My Videographer", Sue McCain and I headed down to Wayne State University so that I could do a presentation for the Motown Writers Network on the issue of Overcoming Social Anxiety and Public Speaking for the Network's authors.
It was a pretty Fall day and I must admit, it felt good to be back on Campus.
Sue, as always, was in rare form. Check out the picture where myself and a patron can barely stop laughing as we witnessed Sue, who is only about 5' tall (if that?), dangerously teetering on the top of a chair at the bookstore trying to get the "best shot". Sue adds fun to everything we do and I can't tell you how much I appreciate her continued support, guidance and efforts.
It was a great day. Everyone enjoyed our Ice Breaker and I believe everyone went away with much more knowledge about Social Anxiety and Public Speaking. I was ecstatic in that it was my first public book signing and the notion it occurred at Wayne, which is where I attended school, made it that much more memorable.
I have left an outline of the presentation for your perusal. Hopefully, you will glean some constructive tips from it.
My "Videographer" is working on the Pod Cast. She is, however, a wife, mother, student and excessively busy.
Sue is attending MCCC where she is completing a second Associates in Media Design.
Hope you enjoy the information. HAPPY FALL!
Siincerely,
/S/
